Most often vehicles are manufactured (e.g. bicycles, cars, motorcycles, trains, ships, boats, and aircraft). Vehicles may be propelled or pulled by engines or animals including humans, for instance, a chariot, a stagecoach, a mule-drawn barge, an ox-cart or rickshaw. However, animals on their own, though used as a means of transport, are not called vehicles, but rather beasts of burden or draft animals. This distinction includes humans carrying another human, for example a child or a disabled person. Means of transport without a vehicle or animal would include walking, running, crawling, or swimming. Vehicles that do not travel on land often are called craft, such as watercraft, sailcraft, aircraft, hovercraft, and spacecraft Land vehicles are classified broadly by what is used to apply steering and drive forces against the ground: wheeled, tracked, railed, or skied. GNU Free Documentation License What type of vehicle can pull a 30' travel trailer and haul 7 passengers? Q. I want to be able to take my family on vacations without an extra vehicle and pull a Jayco camper at the same time. But want a vehicle big enough. Do not want a dually or a pickup? is this possible? At most, crew cab pickups only have 6 seats, and the 6th seat would be located in between the driver and the passenger in the front row - not ideal for kids. For your needs I'd recommend a big SUV. Here are some options: 1. Chevrolet Suburban/GMC Yukon 2. Toyota Sequoia 3. Ford Expedition 4. Nissan Armada Out of those, I'd recommend the Chevy/GMC or the Toyota. The GMC/Chevy could probably tow more than the Toyota, and also it is probably a bit more fit for towing. The Toyota can definitely do the job, but I put it up there because you may like imports too. The Nissan would be okay as well, but the reliability history for it is pretty bad. The Ford could easily do it too, but reliability has been iffy. Both the GMC/Chevy and the Toyota… [cont.] Answered by zachash1 - Mon Mar 31 15:49:19 2008 When leasing a vehicle, how does it work if you plan to purchase the car? What if you go over mileage?damage? Q. So, my wife is almost at the end of the lease she purchased on her car before we met. We, for the most part have decided to buy the vehicle. Tonight, ironically, we hit a deer on the way home after running some errands. I'd say $500+ damage to the vehicle. What are you recommendations for return to dealership? I've heard people say before you can negotiate a price now. How does this work? The entire leasing process can be somewhat confusing. Asked by TimmyJ - Thu Aug 20 22:10:48 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. The lease is one deal and they will nail you for the damage. Then buying the car is a separate deal. But demand a discount as the car was in an accident and needed body repairs. Overall by the time yoy are done you will have paid quite a bit more than if you had just bought the car in the first place, even with slightly longer payments. Q. I am selling my car to a person from a different state and I want to know how to handle the license plates for the vehicle. 1. Should I remove my license plate before I hand over the vehicle 2. If the buyer does not have a license plate that he can use, does the buyer provide a temporary license plate or the seller, and from which state? 3. Can I use my license plate on another vehicle that I have? Asked by Sandy - Tue Apr 14 10:11:53 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. 1. YES! 2 It's the buyer's responsibility to obtain proper plates to drive the vehicle legally. 3. As long as you properly transfer the plates to the new vehicle, yes.
