How long does the two minute cycle on the washer actually last?
Q. Ok so on my washer there is a 14, 11, 6, and 2. (I think) If I wash clothes on the two minute cycle how long will it actually last including the rinse and spin cycles.
Asked by Kinsley A - Thu Jul 19 12:52:28 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. My machine washes the clothes for 2 minutes but depending on the size load I select, it can take 2-4 minutes just to fill the drum with water. Then again depending on the size load that is in there, it can take another 2-4 minutes to drain. Then it does absolutely nothing for 30-45 seconds. Then it starts to spin and adds water simultaneously to go into the rinse cycle which lasts (depending on the size load) 5-7 minutes when it stops adding water and then only spins for another 3-5 minutes. It all depends on the amount of water it is adding based on the size of load I select, more water and longer for medium to large loads and less for smaller loads.

How does the glycolosis cycle work with teh ETC and cellular respiration?
Q. ok, i dont even know if all of those processes go together in any way, but im totally lost in my bio class, so what is the glycolosis cycle and how does it produce atp or adp or whatever..and whats cellular respriation, and what does the ETC work towards and how...its a big question but its help much needed.

A. Cellular respiration can be divided up into 3 stages: Glycolysis Krebs Cycle (Citric Acid Cycle) Electron Transport Chain (ETC) and oxidative phosphorylation Glycolysis: harvests chemical energy by oxidizing glucose to pyruvate. Glycolysis is a catabolic pathway during which six-carbon glucose is split into 2 three- carbon sugars, which are then oxidized and rearranged to produce two pyruvate molecules. Each reaction is catalyzed by specific enzymes dissolved in the cytosol. No carbon dioxide is released as glucose is oxidized to pyruvate. All the carbon can be accounted for in the 2 molecules of pyruvate. It occurs under aerobic or anaerobic conditions. The process occurs in two phases: The energy investment phase and the energy… [cont.]

What would cause my GE refrigerator not to cycle after it has shut off from reaching its temperature?
Q. My frige will reach the temp set, but will not cycle on and will continue to defrost. I have to manually adjust the temp setting for it to start the cycle.

A. your defrost cycle will take approximately 30 mins to an hour to defrost properly. and it does it every 6 to 8 hours. if that is not happening, then you need a repair man to determine if the compressor relay and overload is defective.
